Once upon a time up north long, long ago,
There was a bad little bunny that lived near the pole.
No one ever knew how he found his way to Santa’s house.
Rumor has it he followed his best friend, the teeny, tiny mouse.
The bad little bunny was always taking things that weren’t his own.
He even took his best friend’s favorite pine cone.
None of the bunny’s friends minded his mischief all that much.
Until one Christmas when he went to Santa’s house and took things no one should ever touch.
The bad little bunny took candy canes out of Santa’s sleigh.
He even took Santa’s hat and wore it out to play.
Santa searched the forest for the bad little bunny.
What he saw when he found him wasn’t very funny.
He had broken all the candy canes and was curled up sleeping in Santa’s hat.
Santa woke him and said “You and I, little fellow, need to have a chat.”
“Children must be good if they want me to bring them something new.
It doesn’t matter if you are a bunny, I expect the same from you.”
Santa gave the bunny a hat that Mrs Clause knitted to fit around his ears.
And said “Be good and I will bring you candy canes for all the coming years.”
